No, not really.

I bought a new refill for my Pilot Frixion pen recently. After just one and a half months, I ran out of ink. After five days, the tip of the refill broke and started to spurt ink. That precious thermo-sensitive ink which erases with some friction from the plastic/rubber-tipped eraser (which was placed on the body, so you had to take off the cap every time you needed to erase something; mildly annoying). I have since bought a new refill along with a Uni-ball Signo RT gel pen. The Uni-ball’s ink is much darker than the Pilot’s even though they have the same 0.7 mm tip and I prefer the smoothness of the Uni-ball. Hopefully, the ink will last longer since the sales associate at the store said they don’t stock that particular refill as often as other brands or models.
